COLORADO SPRINGS (AP)—Michael Phelps has been suspended from competition for three months by USA Swimming, the latest fallout from a photo that showed the Olympic great inhaling from a marijuana pipe.

Four years ago, VANOC held a competition to design the logo for the 2010 Olympic Winter Games. As Canadians, we bear many stereotypes about our culture. Some people in other countries figure we all carpool on dog sleds to our high rise igloo offices. Reinforcing that stereotype though the chosen logo doesn’t reflect well upon Canada at all.
